+++ Toys handover to refugee kids organized by Alter Fischmarkt +++
On Monday, the faces of the Oxford barracks based refugee children beamed with joy. The artist Rolf Bürger from Münster, Walter Druschke of the Alter Fischmarkt Münster e. V. advertising collective and Jürgen Budke, owner of MuKK handed over the carefully selected toys which could be purchased from the revenues of the “A piece of land from citizens to citizens” fundraising campaign.
Our new little fellow citizens were pleasantly surprised by a wide number of toys. Hoola Hoops in rainbow colors, goals for in- and outdoor soccer, match and jump balls will give their new owners exciting minutes and hours of play. 100 cute Steiff Teddys immediately won the children´s hearts. For kids arriving in the future, more Teddys will await them as a welcome gesture.
We warmly thank the staff members of Sozialamt Münster who carry out an enormous amount of work to give the children and their parents a home-away-from-home feeling.
In particular, we wish to thank all visitors of Schaulaufens at Alter Fischmarkt who supported and made possible this campaign.
A heartfelt “Thank you”!
